I have always had mixed feelings about this game, as the cards do tend to skew things too much often. It's also crazy to me that both sides can do such radical things early if they get the right cards, like the Union getting Farragut on the first turn and immediately capturing both New Orleans and Forts St. P/J. As I said before, if it's not an army but only a corps, you can have one more general than SPs. So 2 SPs can support 3 generals. See 5.34. |

For a corps you are correct that you can only have one more general than SPs. However, for an army, the number of generals cannot be more than 3 greater than the number of SPs, so with 1 SP I can have 4 generals. See 5.29, |
