Just for future reference, the Cavalry generals are supposed to be hidden as well and revealed after placement. Generally speaking, this means you can place them wherever you want them because their reverse side has a cavalry symbol, but they'd still need to be randomly assigned amongst themselves when you get more than one in a turn. |

Please correct me if I am wrong and I don't mean to pile on, but I believe Sabine City's port is closed because it cannot trace an LOC to a resource space and I don't believe Confederates can trace LOC via the Ocean. So I think the West Gulf is closed and Confederates lose 2 SW (down to 91-). 10.52 BLOCKADE RUNNER PORTS: Blockade Runner Ports are those Southern ports that have a blockade runner symbol and through which blockade reinforcements are received. A Blockade Runner Port is either open or closed. An open port is one which is Confederate-controlled, whose associated coastal fort, if any, is also Confederate-controlled, and has an LOC to another Resource space. Any port which does not meet all three of these conditions is closed. |

Did Van Dorn convert into a Cavalry General, being that Morehead City is 9 spaces away via the shortest route? I believe you mentioned Culpeper since it was a railroad space, however you cannot attack in the same move that you receive the rail movement bonus. And if you do use a cavalry brigade, it would take 3 turns to return if it gets destroyed. You are welcome to revise your move in any way you want, but I'll keep your roll if you move forward with attacking Morehead City in some fashion. "5.92 RESTRICTIONS: A force using the rail movement bonus may not enter an enemy-occupied space, even if it has a friendly PC marker in it." |
