#102: 3 / First Manassas Confederate Player may move 2 SPs using Strategic Movement from the same space using rail connections only (5 space maximum) to the same space with a Confederate General who is then activated and must attempt to enter a space with at least one or more Union SPs or fort. The intervening space may be the one just exited by the moving enemy force. No Generals or SPs may be picked up or dropped off during the intercept. Message from Union: AotP leaves 1 SP in DC, moves to Manassas flags it and picks up Pope +3, moves to Strasburg and leaves Burnside +1, moves to Manassas and then attacks Frederick (with 4 SPs, leaving Rosecrans +2 in Manassas). |

| 62 | 8/12/2026 8:07:00 AM | Summer 1861 | Confederate | Message |
Bragg attacked with one SP. That is it. Everyone else is in Richmond. And you obviously do not have to retreat. |
| 61 | 8/12/2026 8:03:00 AM | Summer 1861 | Union | Message |
Bragg can only bring one general with him at a time. Therefore he cannot shuttle both Beauregard and Stuart with him to Richmond and still attack Manassas, as that would cost 9 MPs. Hence, he needs to be bring either Beauregard and Stuart with him. I don't think you'd bring Stuart being that it is a suicide run. Hence, you'd end up losing Bragg, Beauregard and the 1 SP in exchange for the Union losing 2 SPs; however the Union would remain in the space having won the battle 3 to 2 (you might be forgetting the force ratio DRM). Let me know if you do indeed want that outcome; else you are welcome to redo the move and roll again if you wish to move and/or attack in a different manner. |

| 56 | 8/11/2026 5:02:00 PM | Summer 1861 | Union | Message |
Bragg +1 attacks Manassas? You'll need to be more specific as to who is attacking. Partly because he can only bring one general with him, and you'd have to deal with the whole "number of generals in a space" thing too. But if you do attack, then the AotP will attempt to intercept, and you are welcome to roll for the battle, and we do not use the elite unit in the battle as our DRM would already be too high. ; ) |

The Union gains 1 SW for capturing the Manassas fort and another 2 SW for changing fortunes (up to 103+ from 100-), while the Confederates lose 1 SW for losing the fort and another 3 SW for changing fortunes (down to 96- from 100+). It definitely was a great strategic move by you. You can second guess yourself about having Johnston intercept into Baltimore, but it took a lucky roll for the Union to regain the upper hand. Things would look very different if Johnston's interception roll into Manassas had been successful. |
