you do not get a PC automatically by moving into a space, as far as I remember the rules - you need to play a strategy card to place PC markers, or wait until the Political Control Phase, don't you ... |

Boarder spaces that ARE not controlled are neutral and so price is in supply for attack on St. Louis. You lost 1 SP and Price did not lose any SP. Price occupied St. Louis and you retreat with 1SP |

o Battle is Fought Under rule 5.72, if a space is occupied solely by an ungarrisoned fort (meaning 0 SPs are present), no battle occurs . Because Washington's fort is treated as a standard non-coastal fort, the fort counter is simply removed from the board, and the entering Confederate force can continue its movement if it has remaining movement points . 2. Immediate Capital Capture Because the CSA successfully enters the space without a fight, the capital falls immediately under rule 11.22 : The Union Capital piece is removed from the map and placed in the holding box . The Union player immediately suffers the 30 Strategic Will (SW) penalty for the flight of their government . For the rest of the turn, the Union player is hit with political paralysis and cannot play Operations Cards (OC) to place Political Control (PC) markers on the board . |

Two things: You did not give CSA option to move first to see if I had a campaign card and second You left Washington Unguarded. Beauregard attacks Washington D.C. |

I took the Union for our 1st game. as to optional rules: I think the Operations Queue rule is quite common the railroad logistics Variant sounds rather complicated - never used it what else do you propose? |
